There are a number of restrictions and guidelines which we have to adhere to, in order for your drone photography or video shoot to run safely and smoothly…like the weather for instance!
Before any project, we’ll review factors including location, risk, or any pre-shoot work (site visits, obtaining flight permits etc.)
Our drone flies in winds up to 25-30 knots, with our camera gimbel securing steady shots even in these conditions! We can’t however fly in rain, or more severe conditions.
We follow strict CAA regulations. This means we can’t fly within 50 metres of any person, vessel, vehicle or structure that is not under our control. This also includes main roads, public buildings and airports (!)
We’re not far away from obtaining our close congestion licence, which will reduce this to 15 metres.
We can’t shoot higher than 400 feet above surface level, and our visual line of sight is 500 metres.
For full CAA guidelines we operate to, see here
Yes we can! We have permissions for daytime and night time operations.
We retain copyright on anything we capture, unless of course we’ve agreed beforehand it isn’t.
We’re more than happy to discuss the ownership of footage and transfer if needed – just let us know when you arrange your brief.
We will travel far and wide!
We have a personalised van which allows us to charge our batteries whilst on site or on the move, thus giving us a continuous stream of drone power. We can also review footage and edit on site whilst also having the luxury of making you a brew while we do it!
